In 2004, I visited China with my teen-aged daughter. The trip included Wu Shu training for my daughter and Tai Chi practice for myself. Shaowu Yu was our guide. Never have I met a better tour guide - he was always checking in with people, particularly the teenagers in our group; he accommodated the group - if people were too tired, an excursion could be shortened; we were not forced to visit factory stores - this is standard on many tours.

In 2005, I went again with a group of adults, many of whom knew Shaowu from previous trips. Once again, it was the same first class treatment. In my experience, most tour staff say yes, yes and just do what they want. Shaowu is always watching the group, talking to people and looking to prevent any difficulties. When he deals with local staff, he is always kind and polite.

I trust Shaowu and plan to travel with his company again - for a safe and enjoyable visit.
